Professional Dance Instruction for Dancers of All Backgrounds
About Greater Heights School of Dance
Our Mission is to provide dancers of all backgrounds with the opportunity to participate in professional dance instruction in an open, safe, and supportive environment. We believe that dance inspires self-confidence, discipline and respect of the performing arts. It is our goal to create a foundation within our dancers that allows them to work on themselves from the inside out—and believe that it's important that our dancers not only learn the art of dance within our studio walls, but also valuable life lessons that will carry them through life.
We are dedicated to providing affordable dance training within our community, and want you to know that our doors are always open to First Time Dancers!
Owner & Director
Kajlea Kinsey began studying the art of Classical Ballet at the age of 3. Throughout the years, her dedication and passion for dance has lead her to several other opportunities within the dance community. She spent three years dancing on the Cadettes Dance Team, where she was on the choreography board and served as Captain during her final year. She has had the opportunity to participate in 30+ recitals, including the Russian Ballet's Nutcracker, The 38th Annual Holiday Bowl Halftime Show, and countless productions by Allegro School of Dance. Her training allowed her to get En Pointe, which she has spent the last ten years studying. Before beginning her current venture as Owner & Director of Greater Heights School of Dance, she served as the Primary Ballet Instructor at Heights Elite Dance Studio. She is proud to share her love of dance with others, and it is her ultimate goal to not only teach dance, but to make a difference in her students lives and provide them with valuable lessons that will benefit them inside and outside of the studio.
Jazmyn Brelje has 14 years of experience in the art of Dance, and several years of experience in Cheer, where she even served as Cheer Captain. Her primary training was done at Heights Elite Dance Studio, but she has also attended MADCO. She has spent the last 13 years participating in competitive dance, and for six of those years she also acted as an Instructor. She serves as our Company Team Director, Tap & Jazz Instructor, and Musical Theater Instructor.
Master of Littles
Courtney Mort, who we lovingly refer to as the "Master of Littles" is a full-time professional beautician and part-time littles dance instructor. She served as the primary littles instructor at Heights Elite for 11 years. Her love for children and fun, spunky, energetic personality is the reason why all little people seem to love her. If anyone can get a 3-6 year old to listen and learn—it's Courtney. She teaches our youngest age groups the foundations of movement, baby tap, bitty ballet, and basic jazz.
Jodi McDowall is the former Owner and Director of Heights Elite Dance Studio. She has 37 years of experience in Dance, and is skilled in nearly every style of dance, ranging from Belly Dancing to Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Ballet, and Modern. Her current role as our Level 1 Competition Director allows her to share her vast knowledge of technique and rhythm with our youngest Competition Team—so that as they move up they have the knowledge they need to succeed.
Abbey Johnson has been dancing for the past 14 years. Her dance career began with Heights Elite where she participated in Competitive Dance. Abbey went on to finish her training with Greater Heights School of Dance and was even trained En Pointe. Her love for kiddos and dance lead her back to our studio where she is currently instructing Junior Aged dancers.
